Fourth Sunday of Easter (May 2019)

John 10:27-30

I want to tell you the story of an eight-year-old boy. His name was Jamie. Jamie was dying of cancer. In the final stages of his illness Jamie started talking out loud when he was all alone, day or night. When his mom heard him, she’d come into his room to see if he was okay. He would thank her and assure her he was just fine. One night this happened twice. His mom came into the room and, once again, he assured her that he was fine. The second time she came in he said, “Mom, you don’t have to come every time you hear me talking. Usually, I’m talking to God.”…
